Exploring the Benefits of THC 8 Coffee: A New Trend in the USA

By Brian Njenga

When people ask ‘What is THC 8 coffee?’ The answer is that it’s a blend of coffee that’s been infused with Delta 8 THC, a psychoactive compound that’s present in the cannabis plant. THC 8 is currently trending in the United States for a whole lot of reasons.

To begin with, it offers a distinctive means of consuming THC and gets to enjoy its effects, less the harshness of smoking and vaping.  Indeed, among cannabinoid enthusiasts, THC 8  is affectionately known as “marijuana lite.” This is simply because it produces a much milder psychoactive effect than the more well-known THC Delta 9. Most users have reported that THC 8 delivers a much more relaxing and focused high when compared to delta 9, and much fewer negative side effects including anxiety and paranoia.

Delta 8 Coffee – What happens?

Besides D8 having milder effects, THC 8 is also legal to consume in numerous American states where Delta 9 isn’t. This is due to the fact that there’s a legal loophole in the 2018 Farm Bill, which permits the production and sale of hemp-derived products possessing less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC.

Overall, Delta 8 THC coffee is quite popular among cannabis lovers in the US who are looking for a unique and enjoyable way to take THC, less the drawbacks of smoking or vaping cannabis.  Also, it can be a viable solution for those cannabinoid enthusiasts who can’t consume Delta 9 in their locations because of legality issues.

How does THC 8 compare with other popular cannabinoids?

How does THC 8 compare with other popular cannabinoids?

Delta 9 THC happens to be the key psychoactive compound in the cannabis plant that’s responsible for producing the high effect which most people associate with cannabis usage. THC 8, conversely, is lesser known and is said to possess milder psychoactive properties than delta 9.

However, while delta 9 THC may occasionally produce negative side effects like anxiety attacks or paranoia, THC 8 is believed to produce a more relaxing and focused high, with fewer drawbacks. In the context of delta 9 vs. THC 8, this is yet another key advantage to the latter.

THC 8 produces mind-altering effects by binding to the cannabinoid receptors which are special proteins found throughout the brain. Compared to delta 9, it forms a weaker bond with these receptors, therefore, is far less potent.

Additionally, THC 8 is legal to consume in many states where delta 9 THC isn’t thanks to the earlier mentioned legal loophole. So to the question is delta 9 THC legal? The answer is not in all places.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is also another popular cannabinoid in America that’s known for its many potential health benefits and is totally devoid of psychoactive properties. Unlike THC 8, CBD doesn’t produce a high but is thought to help reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and promote relaxation. Some users have reported that cannabidiol can help to counteract some of the adverse side effects of THC too.

The Ultimate Guide to CBD Coffee: What it is, How it is Made & the Health Benefits

There is also cannabigerol (CBG) that is non-psychoactive and is believed to have potential health benefits including helping reduce inflammation, promoting sleep, and aiding in digestion. However, when compared to THC 8, CBG doesn’t produce a high, and neither does it possess any psychoactive effects.

Lastly, there is cannabinol (CBN) that’s created when THC is exposed to air and light. Like THC 8, CBN is acclaimed for its potential relaxation and sleep-promoting properties.  Yet, CBN is usually found in older cannabis strains and isn’t widely available in comparison with THC 8.

How does THC 8 interact with the human body?

Like all other cannabinoids out there, THC 8 interacts with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) to produce its effects on the human body. For those who might probably not be in the know, the ECS is a complex signaling system that takes part in the regulation of a variety of physiological processes such as appetite, mood, pain, and sleep.

When THC 8 is consumed, it binds itself to the CB-1 receptors that are mainly found in the brain and the central nervous system.  This binding sets off a series of chemical reactions, leading to the release of neurotransmitters including the “feel-good” hormones, serotonin and dopamine that are responsible for producing THC 8’s psychoactive effects.

Also, THC 8 is believed to interact with other receptors within the ECS including the CB-2 receptors that are mostly found in the immune system and peripheral tissues. This interaction is thought to play a key role in producing this cannabinoid’s anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.

The positive impact of cannabinoids on the mind

Still, the precise mechanisms by which THC 8 produces its effects are still been researched and many more studies need to be conducted to clearly understand the intricate interactions between cannabinoids and the ECS. However, it is still clear that THC 8 shows much potential to affect many different physiological processes in the body through its interactions with the ECS.

THC 8 Coffee health benefits

THC 8 Coffee health benefits

As already mentioned, THC 8’s effects and potential health benefits are still under research; much of what has been completed has been focused on animal models instead of human subjects. However, there is growing evidence that suggests that there might be a range of potential health benefits of THC coffee when it is consumed regularly.

One of the key effects of this cannabinoid is its capability to produce a mild, relaxed, and focused high therefore acting as a calming agent Unlike delta-9 THC which can sometimes produce negative side effects including anxiety attacks and paranoia., THC 8 is often reported to produce a more mellow and enjoyable high. This makes it an appealing option for those who want to experience the effects of THC, without feeling overwhelmed or anxious.

Besides its psychoactive properties, THC 8 coffee is thought to possess a number of potential health benefits. For instance, some research has suggested that this cannabinoid might have anti-inflammatory effects. This definitely implies that it could prove to be a useful treatment for medical conditions such as arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease along with other inflammatory conditions.

Also, delta-8 THC coffee is believed to have potential pain-relieving properties that could make it useful in the effective management of chronic pain. The mechanisms by which THC 8 produces these effects are still not fully understood. But, it is thought it’s through its various interactions with the endocannabinoid system.

THC 8  is also believed to manage nausea and improve the appetite of its users. Some research also suggests that this cannabinoid improves sleep quality and therefore aids in the management of insomnia.

Marijuana Detox 101: Everything About Weed Detox

Marijuana detox, as the name suggests, is a process that eliminates cannabinoids such as THC and CBD from the body. When you use cannabis and cannabinoid-related products, the active compounds present in them are absorbed into your bloodstream and may be stored in the fat cells all over your body.

With the passage of time, these compounds are normally metabolized and in the long run, eliminated from your body through urine, feces, and even sweat. It is very important to note here that this is always a slow and gradual process.

In contrast, marijuana detoxification is highly renowned for its incredible capabilities to fast-track this natural toxin-elimination process. This is often brought about in a variety of different ways, and we will now take a look at some of the most popular.

The Ultimate Guide to CBD Coffee: What it is, How it is Made & the Health Benefits

Abstinence

Of all the cannabinoid detoxing methods listed here, this is reputed to be the most effective and convenient for eliminating cannabinoid compounds from the body. By quitting using cannabis or cannabinoid products altogether, you will be giving your body the time needed to naturally remove these compounds from your system.

Hydration

Drinking plenty of water can help flush out your system, and in turn, accelerate the elimination of cannabinoids. The role of hydration in detoxing from cannabinoids can’t be overemphasized. It is recommended to drink no less than eight glasses of water on a daily basis to effectively detox from cannabis.

Exercise

Working out regularly will help boost your metabolism, and ultimately, fast-track the elimination of most waste products including cannabinoids from your body. It can be useful to engage in moderate to high-intensity workouts for no less than half an hour each day.

Watching your nutrition

Consistently eating a healthy, balanced diet can as well help support your body’s natural detox processes. Try to focus on integrating more foods rich in fiber including vegetables, fruits, and whole grains into your day-to-day diet. These foods are known to play a key role in helping the body eliminate waste and toxins, and the importance of a healthy diet in the cannabinoid detox process is all too clear.

Detox products

Detox products

There is a wide range of weed detox products currently to be had in the market. This may include specially-formulated detox drinks, pills, teas, supplements and so on that are advertised as being able to eliminate cannabinoid compounds from the body.

However, a  word of caution is necessary. Many of these products might not be as effective, or worse, could put you in harm’s way despite what their manufacturers claim.  The cannabinoid detox products industry is currently not regulated by any specific government agency or organization. So these products aren’t subject to the same stringent testing and quality control standards as pharmaceuticals or other regulated products.

While some manufacturers might voluntarily adhere to best practices, there is no uniform standard for quality control or safety testing for these products. It is important to be cautious before using cannabis detox products and always research the manufacturer and ingredients.

how long THC leaves the body

The length of time it takes for cannabinoids to be totally eliminated from the body tends to depend on a number of factors. On average, it may take several days or several weeks for cannabinoids to be fully eliminated from the body.

When it comes to the varieties of cannabinoid compounds that may be eliminated through the marijuana detox processes listed here, it is generally THC and its metabolites that are targeted. This is simply because other cannabinoids including CBD have a very decreased potential for causing a positive result in a drug test.

What cannabinoid tolerance levels require detoxing?

What cannabinoid tolerance levels require detoxing?

The need for cannabinoid detoxing tends to vary depending on the individual and their cannabis use habits. Typically, it might be necessary for people who have been using cannabinoids heavily and regularly or especially those who might need to pass a drug test for employment purposes to detox. The exact level of cannabis tolerance that would prompt detoxing varies based on several factors. This includes the frequency and amount of cannabinoid use, your individual metabolism, and the sensitivity of the drug test being used.

Besides passing a drug test, heavy cannabis users might also consider detoxing if they start experiencing negative effects from their cannabinoid use. Some of the symptoms that may alert you of this are

  • Impaired cognitive function
  • Decreased motivation
  • Or any other adverse effects you might experience

If you happen to notice these symptoms, then it is definitely time to take a marijuana detox as soon as you can. Ideally, when your tolerance levels have risen at least 3x from where you started and it’s taking more and more cannabis to get high, then you might take this as a sign that you need to bring those levels back down.

Let us now take a look at the benefits of weed detox.

Improved cognitive function

Long-term cannabis use can negatively impact your memory, and focus along with other cognitive functions. So detoxing every now and then can help improve these functions.

Better sleep

Some people have been known to experience improved sleep quality after detoxing from cannabinoids.

Increased motivation

Heavy and regular cannabis use has been shown to significantly reduce motivation. This suggests that detoxing may be an excellent way to help you find the motivation to accomplish your day-to-day tasks.

Resolving legal or employment issues

Detoxing can help you pass drug tests and ultimately avoid legal or employment challenges related to cannabis use.

Potential cannabinoid detox side effects

Heavy cannabis users might experience side effects during the detox process including:

  • Anxiety and irritability
  • Insomnia or changes in sleep patterns
  • Loss of appetite
  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Sweating and chills

These side effects should be temporary and subside as your body proceeds to eliminate the cannabinoids.

Is marijuana detox safe?

Is marijuana detox safe?

The process of marijuana detox particularly through methods like abstinence, hydration, exercise, and diet is universally considered not only to be perfectly safe, but healthy for most people. Yet, it is essential to say that heavy cannabinoid users might experience the above-listed withdrawal symptoms over the course of the detox process.

In some rare cases, these symptoms may prove to be severe enough to require medical attention. So if you experience severe bouts of withdrawal symptoms during your weed detox, it is highly advisable to consult your doctor. Also, if you have a certain medical condition or are on certain medication, you should first seek medical advice before embarking on a detox program.

Lastly, as we mentioned earlier, it is important to steer clear of cannabis detox products that claim to facilitate this process and avoid using supplements to aid in cannabinoid detoxification. These products might not be safe or even as effective as the natural ways to detoxify your body from cannabinoids listed in this article.

These products may contain harmful ingredients too. Therefore, it is always wise to be cautious before using detox products and always consult your healthcare provider. Overall, while cannabinoid detox through safe and healthy methods is generally deemed safe, it’s always important to approach the process with caution and seek medical advice whenever necessary.

HHC 101 – The How, the Why & the Wherefores

HHC 101 – The How, the Why & the Wherefores

HHC 101 - The How, the Why & the Wherefores

Written by Megan Lane

Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a type of cannabinoid that was first created in 1944 by Roger Adams, an American chemist. He added hydrogen molecules to Delta-9 THC, a process known as hydrogenation, which converts THC to HHC. The process of hydrogenation is not limited to the production of cannabinoids. In fact, a similar approach is taken when you’re converting vegetable oil into margarine.

Hexahydrocannabinol is typically derived from hemp, which is a low-THC cannabis plant that was made federally legal by the 2018 Farm Bill. The major difference between HHC and THC or Delta-8 is the presence of a hydrogen molecule in Hexahydrocannabinol that is absent in THC. Consumers and scientists have observed that HHC produces less potent and psychoactive effects compared to conventional Delta-9 THC.

The process of making Hexahydrocannabinol involves several steps, starting with the extraction of CBD from raw hemp, distillation, and isolation of the compound in powder form. CBD acts as the base for the chemical reaction that creates HHC. According to Kyle Ray, the Chief Operating Officer of Colorado Chromatography, the process of creating Hexahydrocannabinol takes place in a chemical reactor, which he describes as a “black box.” The end result of the process is a gold-colored dark oil that is refined and distilled.

Richard Sams, Scientific Director at KCA Laboratories, said that HHC can be safely produced in well-equipped laboratories… However, if production is scaled up, the risks increase, including the potential for explosions.

Colorado Chromatography only produces Hexahydrocannabinol in an explosion-proof space to minimize these risks. The effects of HHC on the body and mind are not well understood, as there is a lack of consensus on its potency.

The complexity arises from the fact that when the cannabinoid is manufactured, the end result is a mixture of two different Hexahydrocannabinol molecules: 9R HHC binds to the body’s natural endocannabinoid receptors while 9S HHC does not.

According to Richard Sams, When consuming a sufficient dose, Hexahydrocannabinol can produce effects similar to Delta-8 THC, according to Richard Sams. But it takes a much higher dosage of the compound to do so.

Kyle Ray of Colorado Chromatography stated that the ratios of active and inactive HHC molecules can vary from batch to batch, and they need to be at least 50% active to be considered a viable product.

Liam Burns of Bearly Legal, a client of Colorado Chromatography, believes in the effects of Hexahydrocannabinol, saying that he feels energetic, sharp, and pain-free when using the compound. The benefits are remarkable.

How is HHC different from Delta-8  and Delta-9 THC?

HHC  is not a recognized term in the field of cannabinoids. On the other hand, however, THC  is known for being a psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. THC is recognized for producing the “high” associated with the recreational use of cannabis.

Delta-8-THC is a minor psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant and it is structurally similar to THC. People are boasting about the similar effects D8!.results in —  the “buzz” Delta 8 users are experiencing is not unlike THC, aside from the lower potency and less negative side effects like anxiety and paranoia.

How is HHC made?

HHC is an abbreviation for hexahydrocannabinol This chemical compound is synthesized from Delta-9 THC and several other cannabinoids. The process includes a chemical reaction, which is technically called isomerization.

The reaction involves rearranging the atoms within the molecule to create a different chemical structure. The exact method used to create HHC often varies, but the goal is to produce a molecule that has a similar effect to THC but with a different potency level or chemical properties.

It’s important to note that synthesizing Hexahydrocannabinol and other cannabinoids generally requires specialized equipment and expertise. And the making of HHC should only take place in a controlled laboratory setting for safety reasons.

What effects does HHC have on the body and mind?

There aren’t too many studies on Hexahydrocannabinol, leading to a lack of knowledge about its effects on the mind and body. In the near future, we hope to have a better understanding of how HHC can affect us. Some anecdotal evidence suggests that Hexahydrocannabinol can produce effects similar to other cannabinoids such as THC, including relaxation, altered perception, and mild euphoria.

What effects does HHC have on the body and mind?

However, much like other substances, the individual experience you’ll have isn’t the same as another person would have — even if the same dose and form are ingested.  The effects are somewhat unpredictable.

It is crucial to exercise caution and understand the potential risks and side effects when using even heavily researched cannabinoids like CBD. We also recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before self-medicating with HHC for mental health, chronic pain conditions, and seizure disorders.

How potent is Hexahydrocannabinol?

The potency of HHC is not well studied and information is limited. The strength of HHC varies depending on the source and production method. The experiences people have reported have shown us that the effects are different from person to person. We can only assume that this is a result of how the cannabinoid interacts with the endocannabinoid system’s receptors located in the brain and body.

Does HHC show up on a drug test?

It is unknown whether or not HHC will show up on drug tests. However, since HHC is not a well-studied compound and it’s not widely used or commercially available, there is a lack of information available on its detection in drug tests.

Drug tests have different levels of sensitivity and some cannot detect all compounds —  including Hexahydrocannabinol. It is advisable to speak with the drug test administrator to gain more information on what substances are tested for and how the lab detects them.

Can you vape HHC?

Yes, HHC can be vaped. However, it is important to note that the safety and long-term health effects of vaping HHC are not well understood and more research is needed in this area.

Additionally, the use of any form of HHC, including vaping, is not legal in all regions and jurisdictions. Before purchasing Hexahydrocannabinol products, it is important to research the laws and regulations in your area while keeping the potential risks to your health and well-being in mind.

Is hexahydrocannabinol legal?

Yes, hexahydrocannabinol — nicknamed HHC — is legal throughout most states in the US. This is due to the fact that it’s derived from hemp. The regulations in your area, region, or country may make buying natural, medicinal supplements like cannabinoids impossible. In some regions, HHC is legal, while in others it’s still prohibited.

In the United States, the legality of Hexahydrocannabinol is uncertain due to the laws that have been determined on state and federal levels. We urge you to perform adequate research so you can understand the legalities in your area before purchasing or consuming HHC products.

Discover the Benefits of Delta-8 Coffee

Written by Brian Njenga

Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol otherwise known as delta-8 THC is a cannabinoid that is present in cannabis and hemp plants. For those who might be in the dark, cannabinoids are chemical compounds thought to provide a wide variety of health benefits. Delta 8 is structurally similar to the better-known delta-9 THC, which is the key psychoactive compound in cannabis that’s responsible for the “high” feeling.

When compared to delta-9 coffee, delta-8 coffee possesses a slightly varying molecular structure. In turn, this furnishes it with some variations when it comes to its effects on the human body. This cannabinoid is noted for being psychoactive, though its potency is usually deemed to be much milder, particularly upon comparison with delta-9 THC.

Many users of delta-8 coffee tend to describe experiencing a much more relaxed and less intense high, devoid of the anxiety and paranoia frequently associated with delta-9. Some users have also reported feeling more clear-headed and improved focus after consuming delta-8.

However, in the context of availability, delta-9 is generally more abundant in the cannabis plant, while delta-8 occurs in much smaller concentrations. To this end, the latter is oftentimes produced via extraction and conversion processes from cannabidiol (CBD) derived from hemp.

Also, the legal status of delta-8 coffee greatly contrasts with that of delta-9 THC. Delta-9 is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance at the federal level. On the other hand, the 2018 Farm Bill legalized delta-8 since it’s derived from hemp. Yet, there are still states with specific regulations when it comes to the legality of delta-8 products. So it is always wise to acquaint yourself with the various laws and regulations in force in your area before purchasing or using delta-8 products.

What are the effects of combining delta-8 THC and coffee?

The combination of delta-8 THC and coffee is said to culminate in a unique experience as both substances possess synergetic properties largely thanks to their individual interactions with the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

Some users of delta-8 THC coffee have reported that the beverage delivers increased mental acuity and focus along with a relaxed state of mind. Additionally, delta-8 is believed to counteract the inevitable jitters and anxiety attributable to prolonged caffeine use.

Coffee, as a stimulant, is primarily consumed for the boosts of energy and improved focus it offers. Caffeine is known to fight drowsiness and promotes wakefulness. Delta-8 THC, when consumed at moderate levels, is thought to deliver a milder, more euphoric, and relaxing effect that can complement the energy boosts from coffee.  Many users of delta-8 coffee report experiencing a more balanced, focused state of mind

Yet, it is important to note that each individual may react differently to delta-8 coffee. There are numerous factors that can determine the overall experience including individual tolerance to THC, caffeine sensitivity, and the dosage taken. Therefore, it is essential to start with lower doses and then begin to assess your body’s response before increasing the amount you consume. It is also recommended to be aware of your own tolerance to caffeine and just how it affects your body.

What are the potential health benefits of delta-8 THC coffee?

While delta-8 coffee has been associated with many potential health benefits, research on delta-8 THC is still ongoing and currently limited. As a result, most of the information available is anecdotal and based on individual experiences.

  • There’s evidence that delta-8 coffee possesses analgesic effects and it might prove to be useful in pain management. Delta-8 interacts with the ECS by binding itself to cannabinoid receptors, which are believed to modulate pain signals that can result in potential pain relief.
  • Delta-8 coffee has shown some promise as an antiemetic, which means it can help minimize nausea and vomiting. Some people undergoing chemotherapy or experiencing nausea related to specific medical conditions have reported feeling relief after taking this beverage.
  • Delta-8 THC has been associated with increased appetite stimulation. This effect may be beneficial to those who struggle with poor appetite attributable to certain medical conditions or undergoing certain treatments.
  • When compared to delta-9, this cannabinoid is well known for its much more relaxed and less anxiety-inducing properties. Some users of delta-8 coffee find it to provide a milder and more manageable experience, which potentially promotes relaxation and also minimizes anxiety.

As research on delta-8 coffee is still limited, it’s highly advisable to consult with your healthcare provider if you have specific concerns or questions about using delta-8 THC coffee on a regular basis. Such a professional will be able to offer personalized guidance based on your unique health and wellness condition.

Is delta-8 THC coffee safe for everybody?

The safety of delta-8 coffee, as with all products with delta-8 as a key ingredient, is subject to a number of factors. This includes individual health conditions, medication interactions, and even personal sensitivity to cannabinoids. While delta-8 THC is thought to possess a milder psychoactive effect than delta-9, it still possesses psychoactive properties and will affect users differently.

  • Delta-8 might interact adversely with certain medications, especially those which are metabolized by the liver. So you should always consult your healthcare provider if you are on any medication to ensure it doesn’t interact adversely with delta-8 coffee.
  • Both delta-8 THC and caffeine are known to come with some side effects, which tend to vary from one user to the next. Delta-8 can trigger dry mouth, red eyes, increased heart rate, impaired coordination, and temporary memory impairment. Conversely, caffeine use can trigger jitters, increased heart rate, restlessness, and sleep disturbances, particularly with higher doses.
  • Individuals with certain conditions including cardiovascular problems, mental health challenges, or pregnancy will have to exercise caution or avoid delta-8 THC coffee altogether.

Conclusion

Delta-8 THC and coffee offer a powerful combination that can deliver unique effects. While research on delta-8 is limited, but ongoing, anecdotal evidence indicates potential health benefits like pain relief, reduced nausea, increased appetite, and relaxation with milder psychoactive effects. Coffee, on its part, is noted for its stimulating properties, enhancing energy, focus, and alertness.

How To Make CBD Coffee Body Scrub From Home

Recycle your CBD Coffee and make it into a body scrub!

Written by John Marchese and Megan Lane

Have you ever looked at used coffee grounds and wondered if you can repurpose them? Well, you can. Some people use them in gardens to promote healthy plant growth. But the Ott Coffee team is here to help share several homemade CBD-infused coffee bodies and facial scrub recipes with you. This way, you can reuse used coffee grounds and walk around all year long with radiant skin.

Why should people use CBD coffee scrubs?

There isn’t specific evidence at the moment, but coffee contains caffeine and antioxidants that are applied to benefit our skin in many ways.

Caffeine in and of itself has many positive effects and so does CBD. But topically applying our fave mood-boosting cup of joe helps dilate blood vessels and minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while

reducing excess water and tightening the skin. Who wouldn’t want to appear more toned from CBD — AKA, cannabidiol?

Another benefit comes from the natural exfoliating effects of the grounds of coffee themselves; they are loosening, cleaning, and removing dead skin cells when you take five to 10 extra minutes to scrub your face and body in the bath or shower two to three times every week.

And what about the CBD?

Well, by the time you have brewed and finished drinking your cup of CBD-infused coffee, the levels of residual CBD remaining in the grounds is low. But let’s not get too scientific here.

In case you’re wondering, ‘why should I use a CBD body scrub,’ we will touch on the primary benefits for you.

CBD is effective when it comes to fighting acne since it aids in reducing sebum from excess production. Too much sebum causes breakouts, blemishes, signs of early aging, greasy skin, and more.

The research is promising: the evidence implies CBD can be effective at addressing the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis, too.

Exfoliating will make your skin look brighter and feel smoother. While our skin naturally exfoliates, our daily body lotion, sweat and oil can slow the natural process of shedding dead skin cells.

No need to buy those pricey skincare products you love anymore, though. Why would ya’ when you can DIY instead? This is better for the planet, your skin and your bank account.

Natural CBD body and facial scrubs are generally able to be made with ingredients you already have in your kitchen, making the process of whipping up a batch super simple.

CBD Coffee & Coconut Oil Body Scrub

Much like all our recipes, you should gently scrub your hands, body, and feet one to two times per week. Exfoliation with CBD coffee is designed for your hands, body, feet, and face. For best results, leave your homemade CBD coffee scrub on for three to five minutes before washing it off.

The oil you’ll use in the scrubs tends to be a tad slippery, so be careful you don’t fall in the shower. All of these scrubs expire in six months, but for those who apply them on their entire body once a week… you’ll need to make more because they’ll run out.

For each recipe, you can use any essential oil, body-safe scents, or blend of oils to create your desired fragrance.

CBD and D8 Infused Coffee Beans Craft the Perfect Brew

Written by Megan Lane

Some folks are wondering what the health benefits are of drinking coffee infused with the popular hemp derivative, Delta 8 THC. The primary reasons for indulging in a euphoric brew like D8 coffee are the medicinal properties and subtle high — CBD, Delta 8 coffee produces a high that’s similar but less potent than Delta-9 THC.

When you pair quality coffee with cannabinoids like Delta-8, the unique, smooth combo is to-die-for.

Many CBD coffee and D8 brands are teaming up with roasters to get top-notch coffee beans. Then they infuse the beans with Delta-8 for good reason. The final brew tastes damn good and aids in minimizing the symptoms of various ailments while triggering an incomparable and mellow high.

But let’s face it: Not all Delta-8 coffee— or D8 flower — is equal. Not even close. Regardless, the quality and flavor is best when hemp brands craft this roast to support next-level euphoria.

When you infuse coffee beans with the proper amount of Delta-8 THC, the effects can improve your mood and sense of well-being.

Drinking a cup of Joe with synthetic CBD — AKA, Delta 8 — gives people the full-on caffeine and cannabinoid experience. This triggers a pleasant mixture of motivation, energy, and bliss.

But with no crash at all, imagine an indescribable mellow feeling from the time it kicks in and peaks, till it wears off.

Get this: There’s no need to worry about the dreaded coffee jitters either. Even after drinking multiple cups.

Delta-8 THC boasts a multitude of health benefits, and it’s a cannabis compound that’s similar to actual weed — technically cannabis is titled Delta-9 THC. And marijuana is said to contain more psychoactive components than other cannabinoids.

CBD is psychoactive, too, though. After all, you have noticed that it promotes happiness, relieves anxiety, and leads to other changes in the brain, right?

Some people like a nice buzz though. That sweet euphoric feeling we all know and love? It comes from Delta-8 and Delta-9 THC.

All strains of Delta-8 THC have terpenes in them — the terpenes are compounds that enhance flavor to give coffee that rich, irresistible flavor.

How Does Delta-8 THC Work?

Perhaps a bit complex, but here are some of the basics about how D8 works. Delta-8 THC binds to the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system. Everyone’s body houses one. This invisible web-like structure is responsible for regulating and balancing functions like appetite, metabolism, and memory.

When D8 connects to these receptors, the influx of happy chemicals can boost confidence and help alleviate depression. Delta 8 also increases the serum concentration of anandamide, along with other “feel-good” transmitters like serotonin and dopamine.

Another important aspect of how Delta-8 THC works are the entourage effect. You might have even heard the term before. But what is the exact meaning? In essence, it’s how cannabinoids react with other compounds, even caffeinated beverages like coffee.

Delta-8 Pairs With Coffee Just Like PB&J

When you roast and infuse coffee with the proper amount of Delta-8 THC, the effects can boost your mood and positively impact your life.

You see, a cup of Joe that’s infused with synthetic CBD — AKA, Delta-8 THC — provides people with full-on caffeine and cannabinoid experience. This is all in addition to having more motivation and energy every day.

The combination of Delta-8 THC and caffeine can amplify one another’s effects. Basically, the caffeine and cannabinoid high is intensified. You will experience stronger effects from both substances, in comparison to people who haven’t dabbled with weed and coffee.

Everyone’s different. So it’s always best to be mindful after drinking a few cups, especially before important events like a work presentation.

With no crash or come-down, imagine an indescribable mellow feeling like pure bliss. We think Delta-8 THC and coffee go together, just like peanut butter and jelly.

Who wouldn’t want to remain wakeful throughout the day? Exactly. Pushing through daily work and responsibilities is a breeze with D8.

Pro Tip: Squeeze a dropperful of a CBD tincture into your coffee. Two cannabinoids stirred in a cup definitely packs a punch.

The Laws Revolving Around CBD, Delta-8 THC

Despite the fact that Delta 8 contains a lower percentage of THC, studies have shown that the likelihood of failing a drug test for THC is highly probable.

Luckily for us, marijuana and workplace drug testing protects applicants in most states from discrimination. In other words: You’re about 90% safe (depending on where you live.)

There are a lot of bans set in place against THC testing during job interviews.

But is consuming Delta-8 in any form legal?

The 2018 Farm Bill passed and then put an act into effect which legalized the growth and sales of hemp-derived products. So now CBD is legal across the states, despite the fact that it’s not FDA approved.

Still, Delta 8 is manufactured synthetically so the laws are still a bit hazy.

D8 is found in cannabis and hemp plants — they’re both legal to grow anywhere in the US. But CBD — a compound extracted from hemp — is entirely natural. However, The Farm Bill classified CBD products as medicinal supplements; and they’re still in that class.

On the other hand, Delta 8 THC is pretty much man-made — it’s created by using a thin film distillation with cannabis flower.

Your best bet, though, is steering clear of any run-ins with the law. Research the legalities revolving around the use of Delta-8 THC ingestibles (tinctures, edibles, coffee & drinks) and smokables (flower, vapes, prerolls) in your area online.

Coffee beans that have been roasted and infused with Delta-8 THC are innocent enough, but if your state’s late to the recreational game, maybe just enjoy the buzz from home.
